She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia with a master’s degree in demography and completed fellowship training in population research and training at Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Lubega earned her medical degree from Makerere University Medical School in Kampala, Uganda. She finished her pediatrics residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in Bronx, New York, before going into private practice in Newton, Kansas. Relocating to North Carolina in 2002, Dr. Lubega opened First Pediatric Care Center in January 2004.
